Empire Hotel Kowloon
Tsim Sha Tsui area

Above: Empire Hotel Kowloon in Tsim Sha Tsui area, Hong Kong.

The Empire Hotel Kowloon is located at the corner of Kimberley Road and Observatory Road in the quieter part of Tsim Sha Tsui (TST). But then it is Tsim Sha Tsui, one of the popular tourist and shopping areas in Hong Kong, so there're still ample traffic and pedestrians around until late at night - as you can see in the photo above taken at 9 pm.

Since it is in TST, Empire Hotel Kowloon gives you easy access to many of the sights in the area - from the Tsim Sha Tsui clock tower near the Star Ferry pier at the southern tip of TST that probably takes about half an hour to walk to (or just three bus stops or so), to the museums on Chatham Road or shops on Nathan Road both just 5 minute away on foot, there're plenty of attractions all compacted into TST.

When it comes to access to other parts of Hong Kong, the MTR train system is the most convenient mode of transportation in Hong Kong that can take you to many parts of Hong Kong. The Tsim Sha Tsui station is just about 7-minute walk from the hotel. (2009.1.17)
