getting around
Terminal 2
Hong Kong International Airport

The Hong Kong airport has had two terminals since mid 2007.

Compared to Terminal 1, Terminal 2 seems much smaller. There are only three main aisles for check-in counters: N, P and Q. There are plenty of restaurants though in the non-restricted area. And there's a number of shops as well. (Left: departure hall in Terminal 2)

Terminal 2 has its own customs and immigration counters. Once you are through, you can get to Terminal 1 via a "sky train" - just a very short ride. At the time of writing (2009.5.23), it is a great way to get to the gates because not only are there no lines, practically nobody is using it to get in!

Terminal 2 is on the other side of the tracks of the Airport Express opposite terminal 1. Just follow the signs.
