South Horizons, located on the Ap Lei Chau island in the Aberdeen area, is a residential estate with over 30 highrises. With the Marina Square shopping center in its midst that has restaurants, shops, and a supermarket, South Horizons is a little community in itself. Although it's on the southern part of Hong Kong Island, with decent access to the northern shore via the Aberdeen Tunnel, it is a good middle ground residence choice between the crowds of Causeway Bay and the other high-rent "South Island" areas. Unfortunately, or fortunately - depending on your view, the MTR does not go there yet, at least not until year 2014.
