Food Street
Causeway Bay

Above: Food Street in Causeway Bay

When it comes to restaurants in Hong Kong, you pay not only for the food, you also have to pay for the ambiance - or at least for peace and quietness. The more spacious it is in the restaurant, generally the more number of digits behind the dollar sign on your bill! In many restaurants the space between your table and the next is but a crack between the two tables! And in fast food restaurants, it is an unspoken rule that the tables are shared as long as the seats are not taken.

I like the Food Street in Causeway Bay because there is at least a bit of breathing space and the price is reasonable. There are not a whole lot of restaurants there, but there is a variety. (2006.8.26)

The area is within walking distance from the Causeway Bay MTR station.
