Lotus Leaf Rice

Above: Lotus leaf rice, a 'dim sum' available at most "dim sum" restaurants in Hong Kong
Lotus leaf rice is another popular 'dim sum' available in dim sum restaurants. As the name suggests, the main ingredient inside is rice. The other ingredients usually include Chinese mushroom, pork, dried shrmps, etc. The rice has a unique flavor from the lotus leaf because it and all the other ingredients are cooked inside the leaf. However, unless you really need some fibre, don't eat the leaf - the locals don't.
