Terminal 2
Hong Kong International Airport

Above: departure hall in Terminal 2

In the past, the Hong Kong airport had only one terminal. Now there are two.

Compared to Terminal 1, Terminal 2 seems much smaller. There are only three main aisles for check-in counters: N, P and Q. There are plenty of restaurants though in the non-restricted area. And there is a number of shops as well. (Left: departure hall in Terminal 2)

Terminal 2 has its own customs and immigration counters. Once you are through, you can get to Terminal 1 via a "sky train" - just a very short ride. At the time of writing (2007.5.28), it is a great way to get to the gates because there are not only no lines, practically nobody is using it to get in!

Terminal 2 is on the other side of the tracks of the Airport Express. Just follow the signs.
