With 7,000,000 people sharing the little bit of land, and with land sale being the government's main revenue other than income taxes, small little apartments and condos in high rises are the result. And they are building them taller and taller.

For US$300,000, you can get a 600 square ft condo. For US$1,200 or more you can rent it for one month.

If you prefer a house like the one in the photo to the left, be prepared to write a much bigger check.
