than egg tarts, another tasty favorite snack are waffles, especially the kind
referred to as "little eggs" (a.ka. eggettes, shown in photo).
They are widely available steaming hot on street-side snack booths for just a
few HK dollars (a dollar or so USD). Hot and crunchy on the outside but nice and soft inside,
it is impossible to stop at one!
Some vendors' eggettes are so popular that people line up to buy them. One such place is on Kam Hong Street near King's Road in North Point. (2008.8.18) |
